Every year IIMUN continues to be a success and exceed our expectations due to the tireless supports of our dais, our delegates, and most importantly, our parent volunteers. We cannot stress enough how crucial parent volunteers are to running our conference successfully. With IIMUN VII just around the corner, it’s that time of the year again. The time where we ask our THHS MUN parents for their time and support to help support our home conference once more, for it is only through their hard work that we are able to supply and supervise our conference effectively.
Here are the IIMUN VII Parent Letters: Page 1 and Page 2.
We ask that each THHS MUN delegate fill out at least one parent letter and support our conference in at least one of the two main areas we need aid in: snacks for the conference and conference day volunteering. Of course, we would be delighted if any delegate was able to help in both fields and/or submit multiple letters as again our conference only thrives due to the support we get from all of you.
We ask that IIMUN VII Dais submit their letters by Monday, February 20th, the last day of chair training if possible. If not, we ask that they submit them to a secretariat member through the following week. We would like to collect all parent letters from IIMUN Dais and all other THHS MUN delegates by this Friday, February 24th. Once all letters are collected we will create a matrix and allow parents to choose which snacks they will bring and/or when they will volunteer.
Once again, we would like to thank all of you for supporting our conference each year and allowing IIMUN to grow to the unprecedented size it has reached today. Thank you for all that you have done and we thank you in advance for what we are sure will be a glorious IIMUN VII thanks to your support.
For those of you who are IIMUN VII Dais members but were not able to attend chair training. All the resources we used during this year’s chair training are available on our website under the ¨IIMUN VII Chairs” page found under the ¨IIMUN¨ tab.
After a period of deliberation we, as the secretariat and advisors of THHS MUN, have established a club constitution to fully outline all club policies in order to allow all members to have full knowledge of club procedures, policies, and duties, as well as to inspire transparency between all sectors of the club. We will be subjecting the constitution to a popular vote among members at our next meeting on Friday, January 13th, 2017. The constitution can be found on our site on the What is MUN? page under the About tab.
We sincerely hope that everyone is enjoying their winter break and taking the much-needed time to relax and unwind. However, we would like to remind delegates of two important deadlines: Both Position Papers for the Mission Viejo High School Conference (January 14th-15th) and IIMUN Topic Synopses are due by Friday, January 6th.
Mission papers can be turned in to delegates’ respective committee emails found on the MVHS MUN conference site. And IIMUN Topic Synopses can be turned in to the Director of Conferences at firstname.lastname@example.org.

As a reminder our THHS MUN mock conference will be held on Thursday, November 10th in Room 503 from 3:30 to 5:45. We hope to see you all of you there so we can have you all perform in a safe zone and so we can see you in action to give you good, positive feedback and comments. The committee will be UNICEF and the singular topic will be Child Soldiers. The topic synopsis for the committee can be found here.
Additionally, we would like all delegates attending to choose a country for the conference. To choose a country first check out our country matrix for the conference. Then pick your top three countries that have not yet been chosen and email them to email@example.com, soon after one of our amazing Directors of Communications will get back to you confirming which country you have received.
We would like everyone to come prepared with basic knowledge of their country’s stance on the topic and solutions they would support. If you have any questions, feel free to contact any of use on the secretariat. We hope this will be an amazing learning experience for everyone. See you all on Thursday!
Field Trip forms for the Tustin HS MUN Conference are due for turn in by Thursday, November 10th. They can be turned in to Room 503 or to any of the secretariat members. If you do not yet have a field trip form, extras are in Room 503. Additionally, a scanned copy of both pages of the form can be found here: Page 1, Page 2.
Meetings have started for our 2016-2017 season! They will be held in Mrs. Brothwell’s room (503) at 3:30 every Friday, hope to see you there!
On June 5th we had our annual banquet at the Rancho Santa Margrita BJ’s. It was a great success and we had a lot of fun! Thanks again everyone for an amazing year! It was a lot of fun this past year for all of us here on the secretariat and we hope to see you again for an even better year come Club Rush! As you all know we’ve had a break from MUN as of late because of testing. Just a reminder that our next meeting will be on Friday May 20th, and from there we’ll resume regular Friday meetings. Good luck for testing everyone!
UCI applications have been reviewed and delegates have been chosen! Congrats to those who were picked! If you were not present when the list of chosen delegates was read a list has been distributed to everyone via email. Know that the conference is on May 28th through May 29th and Position Papers are due by May 21st at 11:59 PM. More information can be found under our conferences tab.
